Running Lean by Ash Maurya

Running Lean - Ash Maurya

It took me some time to read this book because I thought it would follow much of the thoughts I’ve seen in The Lean Startup (Eric Ries) and The Startup Owner’s Manual (Steve Blank).

Indeed, once it is based on The Lean Startup methodology, Ash has naturally included its elements in Running Lean.

However, there are two elements that made this reading to be great.

The first one refers to the practical example Ash provides us, about his startup Cloudfire, presenting the challenges and the resources he produced during its development journey.

The second element refers to the details he provides on the customer and solution interviews that clarify a lot of their importance and how to conduct them with your potential customers.

I recommend you to read Running Lean if you’re trying to answer questions like:

Finally, it’s interesting to learn about a modified version of The Business Model Canvas (BMC) called The Lean canvas. In this version, Ash replaces some of BMC components with others such as Problem, Solution, Key Metrics, and Unfair Advantage.

Enjoy your reading. 😉
