WILL TURN YOU INTO A...
The Seven Essentials
Hi, I'm Alexandre Azevedo.
My professional life started in a big corporation environment, where I worked for almost 12 years (most of this time in the Corporate Finance department).
But, one day I decided quitting my job. Why?
Because I was in love with startup development.
By now, it’s been more than 10 years I’ve been studying about startup development, as well as practicing the concepts, methodologies and tools I’ve seen in this time.
What I discovered from all that? That there is a ton of great resources and they can improve a lot founders’ ability to build successful businesses. Customer’s journey, storytelling, pitch deck, design thinking, agile methodologies, and so on…
But, investing too much time to learn all of that gives you too little time to start your execution. And for startups, fast execution is fundamental.
In this very beginning, you need to prioritize your learning, so you can start executing fast, but with a solid basis.
That’s why I selected 7 startup essentials to help you on getting educated about startup development, so you can start executing things.
From these 7 essentials, I created the 7 Startup Essentials Webinar Series…

MORE DETAILS, PLEASE
Here you'll find the dates and the topics we'll cover.
Apr, 11th / 9:00 AM (EST) / Saturday
Webinar #1: Problem
Our first topic is at the core of any successful startup. If customers don't find the problem you're solving relevant, they won't really care about your solution. In this webinar, we'll talk about the aspects of the problem that make it relevant for your customers and how to do the problem investigation.
Apr, 14th / 9:00 AM (EST) / Tuesday
Webinar #2: Market Size
This second essential refers to the relevancy of the problem from the aspect of your startup. How far can you go by addressing the problem you've chosen? It will depend on the market size. In this webinar, I'll present you 3 important market size components and how you can assess your startup's market size.
Apr, 18th / 9:00 AM (EST) / Saturday
Webinar #3: Solution
Yes, this is the essential you've been dedicating the most of your time and attention to. However, you probably haven't clearly stated your idea in terms of benefits for the customers or analyzed the alternatives they have to solve the problem. That's what we'll see in this third webinar.
Apr, 21st / 9:00 AM (EST) / Tuesday
Webinar #4: Business Model
It's time to talk business. After assessing the problem and the market size, and defining the core components of your solution, you must define a strategy to build a business from it. In our fourth webinar, we'll see a methodology called The Business Model Canvas and all its 9 components.
Apr, 25th / 9:00 AM (EST) / Saturday
Webinar #5: Validation
At the core of startup development, we'll find the validation process. Considering you're trying to build something new, your idea is based on assumptions. In this webinar, I'll present you the process of validation as well as several validation methods to test your solution.
Apr, 28th / 9:00 AM (EST) / Tuesday
Webinar #6: Cash
To build a successful venture you need to greatly manage your startup's cash. Zero cash? Your startup's dead. And don't fool yourself: if you're considering raising funds, understanding your cash flow is even more important (investors won't give you money, if you don't know exactly what you'll do with it). To leverage this webinar's effectiveness, I'll provide you an easy cash flow forecasting spreadsheet.
May, 2nd / 9:00 AM (EST) / Saturday
Webinar #7: Team
In our last webinar, we'll cover the last essential: The Team. In this live, I'll present you the main startup activities you should get your team to cover, as well as some thoughts about recruiting new people to be with you in your journey.

If you’re just replicating an already validated business (as a liquor store, traditional online businesses, franchises, etc), this is not for you. If you have doubts, just send me a message with your general business idea, and I’ll respond to you.
Yes. The 7 Startup Essentials will bring you the elements to take you from the idea stage to a “ready to execute” stage.
No. Despite most of the startup essentials presented in this series are related to business, I’ll present them in a very objective form everyone can understand. Less jargon, more meaning.
